Tya Alisa Anthony explores themes of Identity through photography, mined media and charged objects. Anthony’s Identity focused works offer exploration in both the shared and diverse experiences of Contemporary Western Culture. While approaching socially illuminated topics involving people of color, the core of Anthony's experimental work exists within research, collage and abstraction. As an integral component of her tactile studio practice, Anthony incorporates Handmade paper, textiles and draws from photographs acquired online and removed from her extensive archive of family photographs. It is Anthony's intention to create works that explore the intersections of humanity while creating a space of autonomy and regard for bodies of color.
Anthony received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2015, (SUMMA CUM LAUDE) honored as Valedictorian, from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. Presently, Anthony lives and works in the city of Denver, producing photography + fine art installations for both commissions and exhibition.

Matthew Harris received his MFA at the University of Colorado Boulder and is currently the Head of Fine Arts at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in
Denver, CO. His sculptural artwork often questions the ways in which an individual gains social status. Wealth, physical appearance, and charming personality too often trump wisdom, compassion, and humility. Failure to gain the attention and approval we crave feeds our insecurities and drives us to try even harder. With the elaboration of social media, we are bombarded with even more opportunities to curate our public lives. His works frequently serve both as generalized portraits of human vulnerability and as self-portraits that question his own susceptibility to self-centered perspectives.
